UNODC’s ‘World Drug Report’
Each spring the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (sic) launches the 'World Drugs Report', a colourful almanac of illustrated faction dedicated to the so called world drug problem. A superb effort of information processing and expectation management, it provides the agency with pseudo-scientific fig leaf while keeping 'drugs' on the agenda. With a generous lashing of carefully edited statistics the press release makes for a delicious read in the Orwellian art of fear mongering.
