Coca eradication – the madness is spreading

Images of planes pouring toxic chemicals over green field is long familiar from Afghanistan and the Andes. It seems that the madness of eradication, a practice that defies every environmental or social development principles that governments solemn swear allegiance to, is spreading to Central America. Large numbers of the Honduran law enforcement officers are taken from presumably keeping their communities safe, to eradicating coca bushes in the interior.
